I have just returned from Devon after shooting Twin Tides film 'The Moon Shines Bright'. The production team and cast were fantastic to work with and it was really enjoyable out on Dartmoor - despite the British weather trying to weaken us all! Playing the role of Lesath was a great challenge which was made so simple working alongside Chris (who plays the lead character Tom) and under the director of Andy and Lawrence. I wish the post production team the best of luck as they go into the long task of editing and look forward to seeing the finished result in November at the Cornwall Film Festival.
If anybody wants to know more about this film, or would like a copy of it, please feel free to contact me. Alternatively, why not check the films website: http://www.tmsb.moonfruit.co.uk/.

It seems like so long ago that 'Miss Julie' ended, but in reality it's only a month. The performances at Dinefwr in Llandeilo were really enjoyable and much thanks to the audiences there, who were truly supportive and responsive. I had a fantastic time working with and learning from the rest of the cast and the production team, all of whom are brilliant professionals and highly talented.
Since finishing I have been busy training and securing two projects for the rest of this year. The first project is a film called 'The Moon Shines Bright', which is a 'supernatural chiller set on Dartmoor'. In the film, directed and produced by Twin Tides Productions, I will be playing the part of Lesath. For more information on this film please check the website on the following link: http://www.tmsb.moonfruit.co.uk.
The other announcement is that I will be working with M & M Theatrical Productions in their production of 'Aladdin' this winter. I will be taking the part of Jasmin in this production, which will tour the UK between early November and mid February. I will update this website on any further details of this tour, but in the meantime please follow the link on the links page.
My training previously mentioned was under the teaching of Sinead Rushe in an intensive 10 day workshop based on Michael Chekhov's techniques of creating a character. This workshop, run by 'Living Pictures productions', was very interesting and really useful. I feel like I learnt and developed a lot under Sinead's teachings, despite the relatively short time in which we were training. For more details on this, or on any of the tours or film I have mentioned, please do not hesitate to contact me on the provided form and I will get back to you.

The past few weeks seem to have rushed past. The 'Miss Julie' tour has gone brilliantly and it's been a great experience going to each of the new venues and enjoying the different dynamics of each new space and audience. However, there are now only two performances left. I will be playing the title role of Miss Julie in Dinefwr Park and Castle on Friday the 25th and Saturday the 26th. Anyone who wants tickets or more information about this performance please visit the Living Pictures website via the link on my links page or call the venue direct on 01558-823902.

It's been a very busy few weeks since I last posted here.
I've worked with Tim Orchard providing some voiceovers for his animation, which was a very enjoyable experience. I really enjoyed being able to voice 6 different characters in a variety of accents, and experimenting with character alongside the director. All of the recordings I did for this will be available as part of a voicereel as soon as they are ready. Anyone who would like a copy of this, please contact me.
Rehearsals have begun for 'Miss Julie'. In fact, we are now in our third week of rehearsals and are rapidly approaching preview night next Wednesday. The team working on this production is wonderful and there has been some excellent work in the rehearsal room. I feel very privileged to be a part of this production and would strongly advise anyone in Wales during June to try to get to a performance. For more information on the tour, check out the facebook group - Living Pictures presents: 'Miss Julie' - or go directly onto the company website via the link on the links page.
I'm very much looking forward to the rest of this month with the final week of rehearsals and then 3 weeks of touring. Also, hopefully I will be finalising some of the exciting projects that are currently in the pipeline.
Just an additional comment: my e.showcase is now available in DVD format for anyone who would like a copy of it. Please contact me for more details.

Filming for 'the moth and THE FLAME' has been put on hold. Blatella productions have decided to send off the script and shots so far to hopefully get the project re-started in the New Year. It's sad that the film won't be ready (as hoped) for the end of this summer, but hopefully it will lead to better things for the project. I hope to work with Blatella on this project if they get new support and funding, and also hope to work on other smaller projects before then.

Wrapped up filming for 'Wayne' today, the film I mentioned in my first blog. It was great to work on a really different project. My improvisation skills were really tested and it was a good experience to work on a 'mockumentary' style piece. Should all be edited ready for a premiere at the Myrddin Shorts festival on the 2nd of May in Carmarthen. Please contact me for details of this event or for a copy of the film.

Two updates for two very different projects.
Firstly, 'Miss Julie'. Tour dates and venues are now confirmed with the possibility of an extra performance in the last week. The dates are:
* Preview: 9th of June at the Halliwell Theatre, Trinity University College, Carmarthen
* 10th and 11th of June at the Halliwell Theatre, Trinity University College, Carmarthen
* 13th and 14th:Perform @ Penryn Castle (Bangor)
* 17th, 18th and 19th: Perform at Chapter Arts Centre (Cardiff)
* 25th and 26th: Perform at Dinefwr House
As I am understudying 'Miss Julie' I won't be playing that role until the last week.
I'm really excited for this project to begin and I hope people will support it. Anyone who needs information about tickets or directions to venues, feel free to contact me.
Secondly, I found out yesterday that I have got the part of Helena in a feature length film 'The Moth and The Flame' by Blatella Productions. Blatella are a really exciting independent film company and the script looks great.
My character is: 'a cool and confident character. She is blind, but is an expert at overcoming her disability, neither hindered, nor embarrassed by it. This is in heavy contrast to The Moth, who's 'condition' is crippling to her. She is always bright and cheery, and a very socially comfortable, and always seems to have something going on. At times she can come across as fake, shallow or dismissive. The sort of person who's calling you 'honey' or 'babe' ten minutes after meeting you, but never actually seems to have time for you.'
The filming is going to take place in March and April with the final piece hopefully ready for the premiere at film festivals this summer. I'll keep you updated as to how this goes.
So two projects in the not so distant future! I feel very lucky to be a part of both of them.

So Caucasian Chalk Circle has finished. It was an amazing play to work on and I really enjoyed the whole rehearsal and performance process. It's really sad to be saying goodbye to working with such a lovely team.
BUT onwards to new things! Rehearsals for 'Miss Julie' start in May. It's really exciting to be given the opportunity to work on such an exciting project with such an amzing team and I can't wait to get stuck in to it!

I had confirmation today that I wil be understudying the part of Miss Julie in Living Pictures tour of Strindburg's 'Miss Julie' this summer, and will performing at least 3 performances. This is a really exciting oportunity for me, as it will be working in an excellent team on a challenging play.
To find out more about this production, it's director Robert Bowman and the Living Pictures company, follow the link on my links pages.

Rehearsal's for 'Caucasian Chalk Circle' are going really well. Working on such an ensemble piece is a great experience and the parts I've been given so far are really developing me as an actor. Working on such a range of characters (from Ludovica to the Lawyer to an Elegant Lady!) is fantastic and has really helped me widen my range of characters I can play.

I'm preparing for the start of 'Caucasian Chalk Circle' over the holidays. Rehearsals are starting in January with performances on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of March. I'm really excited to be working with Robbie Bowman again, and to be able to develop my acting skills at the same time as taking on this challenging piece.
I'm also going to be choreographing the dance sections, which will be a great challenge as I've never choreographed for this style of theatre before.

Tomorrow is the first full company meeting for a new film I'll be in. It's a student film that's being devised and performed using methods inspired by Mike Leigh. I'l be using a character that I have devised and worked on with the director Tim before, and then combining her with a few other characters. There's only a basic plot line with the idea that the plot will come from improvisations and ideas that happen tomorrow. Tim's wanting it to look as naturalistic as possible, so there will be no studios and no sets - on location acting. I hope we don't cause too much commotion in Swansea!
